Meet Tiffany
With the theme of "A Voice for Common Sense and Academic Excellence," Tiffany Strabala has announced her 2025 run for the Anoka-Hennepin School Board (AHSB) in Area 6. It includes Coon Rapids and Southern Andover.
As a current Substitute School Teacher in Anoka-Hennepin, and a life-long resident of the district, Tiffany explained, "I have appreciated the education I received from Anoka-Hennepin, and want to give back to this community. It has provided me with so many great opportunities." Tiffany earned a Teaching degree from St. Cloud State University.
According to Tiffany, "Education is the key to success for each individual, but also the foundation of a successful community. Andover and Coon Rapids have a long tradition of excellence." She explained, "I believe our schools must focus on the basics of education, being fiscally responsible with taxpayers’ money, and providing a safe environment--so that every student can reach her/his full potential."
Tiffany States Three Priorities:
1.) It is time to restore academic excellence! Clear expectations for students are shown to improve their academic outcomes.
2.) A school environment, with safe classrooms--free of violence is key; teachers should be given respect, as they provide direct instruction to their students.
3.) Protection of parental rights is important for transparency.
Tiffany’s Mission Statement
Tiffany believes student achievement should be the top priority of the school district. It’s not just about handing out participation awards, but rather ensuring that each student has appropriate grade-level proficiency. Tiffany believes this can be accomplished as the superintendent, school board members, teachers, and parents work together for the good of each student.
