Tiffany will be a voice of reason and common sense for our schools.

As an active community member attending A-H school board meetings for the last 15 years, she cares deeply as a parent, teacher, community member, and taxpayer about issues facing A-H schools.

Academic excellence has to be the top priority of every A-H School. Test scores are too low. Our students and parents deserve better, as well as our taxpayers. Research overwhelmingly supports Direct Instruction, demonstrating that structured, teacher-led instruction leads to stronger student achievement than inquiry-based or student-led approaches, especially for students who need additional support.

School safety is of utmost importance to Tiffany. Parents should feel confident sending their students to school. Teachers should be respected and feel safe during their workday. Students should be able to focus on their academics rather than be concerned about their safety.

Tiffany believes in parental rights and that parents are the primary educators of their children. Our schools must have good working relationships with parents. They should encourage transparency in every area of a student’s education and well-being.

Tiffany believes that decision-making should happen at the local level regarding how taxpayer funds are distributed. The decisions regarding academic curriculum and overall governance should also occur at the local level.

Tiffany personally knows local state legislators and has a relationship with several of them. She will be an advocate at the Minnesota State Capitol to fight to reduce state mandates on our school district. These mandates have resulted in significant budget concerns within the AHSD.
